About Hoop Shoes
Basketball shoe reviews and ratings from players.
Five aspects, rated 1 to 5
- Comfort
- How the shoe feels during a session: pressure points, rubbing, breathability, and comfort over a full game.
- Fit
- How the size and shape work for your foot: toe room, width, heel hold, and how securely the laces keep you in place.
- Cushioning
- How the shoe absorbs landings and feels underfoot when running or jumping, including the balance of softness and court feel.
- Traction
- How the outsole grips your playing surface when stopping, cutting, or changing direction, including on dusty courts.
- Support
- How stable and contained your foot feels during lateral moves and landings, including the upper and base of the shoe.
Rating scale: 1 = poor, 2 = fair, 3 = good, 4 = very good, 5 = excellent.
How the averages work
Each review gives equal weight to all five aspects. Its overall score is their arithmetic mean. A shoe's overall rating averages all published reviews equally; each aspect rating averages that aspect across the same reviews. Displayed averages are rounded to one decimal place.
Each user can have one review per shoe and can edit it as their experience changes. Hidden or deleted reviews do not contribute to the ratings. Shoes without published reviews are marked as not rated, rather than given a zero.
Rating limitations
Ratings reflect individual experiences, not a verified purchase, a product test, or a promise about how a shoe will work for you.
